Hello, I am Cristina.  I am the creator of 1 Sip At a Time.  

My insatiable curiosity about what was in my wine glass and why did some wines versus others transport me to some other dimension.  Yes, I know it sounds so corny.  But this is what happened to me.  It piqued my interest to learn more about the wine, grape varieties, wine producers, the places it came from, the people, the history.  I was forever trying to answer the who, how, and why when I was savoring a glass of wine.  This thirst to know more propelled me into taking some wine appreciation courses at a local college.  Once I started it quickly became my passion, my obsession.  I got lost in this exciting new wine adventure of mine.
 

Have you ever felt completely lost and indecisive when you are staring at a wall of wine? Where do you start? You are stuck!  You finally need to decide and get out of the wine shop, so you fall back onto one of your default selection methods; you decide using the how pretty a wine bottle label looks like or fall in love with the romantic poetic marketing text on the back of the label or you surreptitiously scope the wine shop for someone that appears to know what they are doing, and you try to copy them.  LOL!  Yes, that was me in the beginning.  I was tired of wasting money and being disappointed with my choices. 
 

I wanted to create a go-to-source for beginner/intermediate wine enthusiasts - like myself - where you can quickly learn small tidbits of information in a fun and relaxing manner about various topics in the wine world.  This blog is here to help you decipher the wall of wine, figure out what you like, and steer you into exploring new wines from different offbeat places in the world. Empower you in your wine journey!  Save you money and from making some hilarious silly mistakes. 
 

Since I got started blogging, I have found such a sense of fulfillment in my own life. I enjoy writing about my passions, what interests me, what interests other people, and sharing it with the world. With each passing day, 1 Sip At a Time gains more followers, and with that, even more success.
